Where learning is concerned, every child is unique, and the educators at Cognitive Development Learning Centre firmly believe in this. That’s why a pupil who enrol at the centre will have to first go through an established assessment system to determine his academic capabilities.
These assessments serve to indicate the learning gaps or deficiencies in English or Maths learning. Based on the results from the report, formulated by an established system that is utilised by more than 37,000 schools in US, UK, Australia and Singapore, the teachers then review pupils’ strengths and weaknesses and engage parents to the child’s specific learning needs.
Following this independent assessment and discussion, the centre will then prepare the child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for training and monitoring the child’s stages of progress over the next three to six months.
With a customised plan tailored to fit the child’s learning profile, the teachers are able to effectively address every child’s learning needs and guide them accordingly to meet the academic requirements as expected in schools. The three main programmes conducted at Cognitive Development Centre are:
Pure English Or Maths Programme
Programme is designed for students from Primary 1 to Primary 6, who are unable to catch up with more than two years’ worth of school work.
Joint English And Maths
Programme is designed for students from Primary 1 to Primary 6, who are unable to catch up with more than one year’s worth of school work.
Early Intervention English And Maths Programme
This programme is meant for children below six years old who have learning difficulties. The programme is individually customised to prepare children to for primary school.
