SHAPE THE MIND TO SHAPE THE FUTURE!

Early Childhood Education Industry is Poised for A Major Growth

Early Childhood Education, defined as the knowledge and expertise in classroom teaching for young children between the ages of 3 and 8 years, has drawn considerable attention from parents in the recent years, suggesting a strong demand for quality services.

With raising effective thinkers remaining a cornerstone in Singapore Education system, this expectation has led to the government developing a comprehensive framework comprising industry-recognised competency standards, implemented through a rigorous process of international research, stakeholder interviews and industry consultation and validation.

With initiatives to shore up the workforce, Kaplan, one of the leading service providers among the Private Education Institutions, will be rolling out, in addition to the Bachelor's Degree programme, a Master Degree in Early Childhood Education and Education as well as Educational Leadership and Policy. With degrees conferred by Monash University, these programmes are meant for aspiring professionals, students as well as mid-career switchers and stay-at-home mothers, who are keen to join this sector.

Through Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA), set up to integrate early childhood care and education, educators here will benefit from a progressive work environment, competitive salary structure and resources developed by the Ministry of Education (MOE) to support the teaching and learning of the three Mother Tongue Languages in Singapore.

Amidst the grand backdrop to build more preschools in Singapore, the future of Early Childhood Education is poised to soar.

Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a candle.
