Daniel Milton Education was founded by Dr. Daniel Milton Oman in 2006 as PhysicsandCalculus.com, a web-based Online Learning for Physics. It aimed to provide students with good clear explanations of physics concepts and problem-solving skills.
The programme has over 70 audio-visual web-based tutorials available for subscriptions for university students and has helped many students to improve and excel in their Physics.
Before the launch of PhysicsandCalculus.com, Dr. Daniel Milton Oman co-authored three study guide books published by McGraw-Hill titled, ‘How To Solve Physics Problems’, ‘Physics for the Utterly Confused’ and ‘Calculus for the Utterly Confused’. The study guides were immensely successful, selling over 100,000 copies at major bookstores such as Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million and Kinokuniya, as well as online bookstores such as Amazon.com.
In year 2011, Daniel co-authored the Physics section of the Barron’s guide to the Medical College Admission Test. (MCAT), another runaway success.
In 2009, Dr. Daniel Milton Oman expanded the scope of PhysicsandCalculus.com to include private tutoring sessions in Singapore, which saw the birth of Daniel Milton Education. Conducted in small groups or on an individual basis, its tutorials are specifically created by Dr. Daniel Milton Oman for the Advanced Placement (AP) Physics Exams, International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and Singapore’s Integrated Programmes (IP), O’ Levels, A’ Levels Exams and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programmes (IB).
Physics tutoring for specific courses such as Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) and entrance exams for Singapore universities are also available to students on separate special private sessions with appointments made in advance.
Students here are taught using a systematic analytical approach, thus providing a solid foundation in understanding concepts and to equip students with the analytical and problem solving skills, to empower students to learn efficiently and solve real-life problems. This teaching technique differs from other tutors who heavily emphasize drilling and putting information into short term memory.
