In particular, the ‘Swift Learning to Recognize Chinese Characters Course’, ‘Chinese Zijing’ introduced in 2003 paved the way for students to use a new approach to recognise characters before learning how to write them. Yuquan enhanced its learning environment and became a premier school for Chinese language. Its lessons seemlessly combine various aspects like Chinese characters learning, learning of idioms,comprehension training and essay writing. While the students are learning Chinese idioms at an incredible pace, they can also master the commonly used characters that appear in the idioms simultaneously. Yuquan also conducts Chinese enrichment courses in Nanyang Primary School, Henry Park Primary School, Ai Tong Primary School and many others. It also offers teacher-training and courses for children aged 18 months onwards. All lessons are conducted in Mandarin.
