GIVE YOUR CHILD A SOLID BILINGUAL EDUCATION STEEPED IN CONFUCIUS VALUES

Amar Kidz is synonymous with quality Bilingual Preschool Education, where your child gets inculcated in Confucius values and essential lifeskills.

Amar Kidz is a home-grown childcare provider that believes in giving children and parents a unique experience in their early years educational journey.

With a collective experience of over 100 years in early childhood practices and programmes, Amar Kidz is in collaboration with the Confucius Institute, Nanyang Technological University, to provide a quality and value-adding bilingual curriculum for its children. It is also the first for a local childcare to collaborate with such a prestigious institution as NTU.

Working alongside the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports’ (MCYS) curriculum framework, Amar Kidz develops and nurtures every child’s Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Social and Linguistic (PIESL) development, giving them a head start in their preschool education journey.

Amar Kidz’s philosophy can be likened to a pair of chopsticks. One cannot do without the other and when used together, they are indeed very efficient and can become a way of life. Amar KIdz aims to use bilingualism and Confucianism as a vehicle to nurture young children. It aspires to nurture them  into respectable and responsible individuals with good character and sound morals.

It also places great importance on Emotional Quotient (EQ) and emphasises that it is just as important as the Intelligence Quotient (IQ). Amar Kidz also believes that bilingualism is an excellent way to develop both EQ and IQ in individuals, especially when you begin using it at a very young age.

This philosophy of harnessing the power of bilingualism is also shared by none other than our former Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew who in November 2011 set up the S$100 million Bilingualism Fund, targeted at preschoolers. In his own words, former MM Lee said that,

Several studies have shown that the best time for a child to learn another language is in the first few years of life, where it is the most absorptive period of the mind for learning languages.

Amar Kidz echoes this far-sighted vision of former MM Lee as it feels that children, especially those aged 18 months to 7 years have “sponge-like” brains that can easily absorb more than a dozen languages.

Amar Kidz firmly believes that early childhood is indeed a time of exploration and discovery. Understanding that young children learn by “hands on” experiences, Amar has staffs who are highly qualified and through their collective experiences, enhance each child’s growth and development in a stimulating atmosphere, filled with warmth and understanding.

Its bilingual programmes instill moral values while allowing each child to develop as unique individuals in a fun-filled, safe and nurturing environment that in turn lays a strong foundation for their adulthood.

TCEP is established by CI-NTU to provide Chinese enrichment and cultural programmes for children. TCEP aims to develop children’s capabilities and confidence in the Chinese language and mould their motivation for lifelong learning.

PRE-SCHOOL TOP CHINESE ENRICHMENT PROGRAMME

Pre-school Top Chinese Enrichment Programme (PTCEP) is designed to nurture a child’s interest in the learning of the Chinese Language by engaging them in a fun-filled and stimulating environment. PTCEP teaching materials comprises a wide collection of word cards, images, audio and video that not only appeals to the child’s senses, but also helps to develop their aural-listening abilities and increase their competency to read independently.

Chinese pedagogical classics such as Rules of Students and Tang Poetry have been integrated in its programme to inculcate students with the right moral values and to enhance their understanding of the rich Chinese culture. Again, Amar Kidz is the first preschool organisation that has incorporated PTCEP into its core curriculum.

In its firm and deeply rooted belief of giving back to society, for every successful registration in Amar Kidz childcare centres, S$50 shall be donated towards the Ronald McDonald Children’s Charity (RMCC).
